ANTI LABOUR POLICIES

RE-STRUCTURING OF CADRES IN PUBLIC SECTORS

In the Indian Railways cadre re-structuring of Group C & D staff is causing a huge shortage of manpower due to which the smooth functioning of the Railways is being hampered. The concept of cadre re-structuring in all the public sector offices was propagated by the World Bank when Dr.Manmohan Singh, was the Finance Minister. In order to privatize the entire public sector, to outsource all the public sector works to private parties, this concept of anti labour policy was imposed upon our country.

We must remember that India is an overpopulated & a 3rd world country which has huge manpower output, yet reeling under poverty due to economic backwardness. Here people need secure source of income which can only be provided by the public sector. Because the private sector won't hire manpower for charity. Which is creating a very complex situation for our country, specially the upcoming future generation. We can already see that due to population explosion on one hand & lack of secure source of income is already playing a havoc in our country. We can see graphically how the crime rate is increasing due to this social & economic insecurity

This is also creating huge gap amongst the upper class & the middle/lower middle & the lower class. Increasing corruption, top heavy attitude of higher bureaucracy, manipulation, over competition amongst the private sector, over consumption of our natural resources, these are just few outcome which we are seeing in our day to day life.

It is extremely intermittent that we stop such anti labour policies immediately so that a proper balance & proper economic distribution of wealth amongst all the classes of people. We can take example of countries like Denmark where the minimum wage earning 20 dollar per day, which reflects the stability in their society. If proper political will & economic balance is maintained towards all the classes of people in our country, we can achieve the social stability required.
